 Glacier Valley Eco Tours Eco Tours provide a 3 hour return guided walks up the Glacier Valley river bed. Our tours are especially designed for clients who want to learn about the wonders of this incredible natural environment. We can tailor-make tours to suit individuals, couples, family groups and tour parties.

• This tour starts with a short drivefrom your accommodation to the glacier carpark.
• Enjoy walking through regenerating forest for your first glimpse of the magnificent Franz Josef Glacier.
• Your experienced guide will take you past the public barriers and safely up to the terminal face of the glacier.
• Your guide will keep you captivated with an amazing interpretation of glaciation, geology and the natural history of this incredibly dynamic environment.
• Duration: 3 hours
